‘If all social gatherings are banned then all prisoners need to come home’ – Shatta Wale

After Ghana recorded 6 confirmed cases of the deadly coronavirus, the president placed a ban on all social gatherings.

In effect to that, all schools are closed, no church service, gathering, no wedding or funerals except it’s a private one with not more than 25 people participating. A lot of people have reacted to the president’s action of banning all social gatherings and dancehall artist Shatta Wale has also aired his views.

According to him, since the president has banned all social gatherings then it’s just right for him to release all prisoners to go home and return after this season of coronavirus. He posted on his twitter handle asking what Ghanaians think of leaving prisoners when the risk of the disease spreading among them is very high.

He wrote “I think if all social gatherings are banned All prisoners need to come home so that after this season they can go back and continue their sentence ..what do u think lovely people !!!!” “Now police go arrest arm robbers via whatsapp ,they will message u and say “pls come and lock yourself and leave the key on the counter”
